Celebrating Creativity and Community – Midleton Arts Festival – Friday 12th May – Sunday 14th May 2017
The Midleton Arts Festival is a vibrant and welcoming weekend that promotes,
expresses and celebrates the bountiful creativity in Midleton and East Cork.
We are excited to celebrate the opening night with a powerful exhibition and the
presentation of the Footprint Award for a surprise artist, for their contribution to the
community. This will be held upstairs at Sage Restaurant. The fun has only just
begun, get set for a swinging time and catch the free Festival Bus outside the
Courthouse at 8.45 to Garryvoe Hotel. This will be a fun night with superb jazz band
led by the world class Jazz guitarist and trumpeter Ian Date. The bus will return to
Midleton at 11.15.
During the weekend Main Street comes alive with art filled shop fronts, public
performances, busking, open studios and film installations. The festival features all
facets of the arts and has something for all ages, including film, animation, a creative
playground, fine art, sound art, sculpture, craft, music, dance, literature, poetry,
