About Midleton

Midleton, the leading town in East Cork, is a hub of businesses & cultural activity. The Greater Midleton area is home to many thriving companies, local and international, including Irish Distillers Pernod Ricard, GE Healthcare, Stryker, Cascade Designs & the world famous Ballymaloe Cookery School.

Midleton & Carrigtwohill have excellent rail and road links to the nearby City of Cork, a University city. There is also excellent access to the international airport on the outskirts of Cork City & the N25 national primary route connecting Cork City to Rosslare Europort is directly accessible from Midleton & Carrigtwohill. Cork Harbour is Europe’s largest natural harbour and the Port of Cork utilises this asset by providing Ireland’s only multi-purpose deep sea port facility as well as excellent facilities for cruise liners.

Midleton has a fibre optic Metropolitan Area Network (MAN) which makes the town a suitable location for companies requiring fast data transmission speeds, additional security and reliability.

Quality commercial premises and offices are available throughout the area; a strategic land bank and other zoned commercial land is available with attractive tax incentives for inward investment . The Chamber would welcome any inquiries from companies who are interested in establishing or relocating their offices to the Greater Midleton Area.

Midleton and Area is a magnet for international and local tourists with excellent hotel and guesthouse accomodation, food, entertainment, golf courses, fishing, walk trails, etc. Local hotels include Midleton Park, Castlemartyr Resort, Garryvoe Hotel, Trabolgan Holiday Centre and Fota Wildlife Park are a short drive away. A visit to the Jameson Distillery – the makers of the world renowned whisky in Midleton is a must.
